Friendly, food was ready when they said it would be (10 mins), and dang. That was the best jerk chicken I have ever had. You can feel that they care about the food they are making. I really appreciate that and I will be back! PS- get the rum cake omg

The Jamaican Pot on 8 Mile Rd in Detroit, MI has excellent customer service! Upon walking in you are greeted with exquisite smells. Mama Rose and the staff were so pleasant, they offered many different food choices along with samples. I’ve never experienced this type of customer service and ALL the food was tender and flavorful. I had the jerk/curry chicken entree. I’m glad my friend recommended this place. Although it’s 2 hours away, I’ll be returning for more when I visit Detroit. This establishment blessed my life, you will not be disappointed here.

I have been eating since the day the place opened. I have also been to Jamaica seven times. The food here better than in Jamaica. Tastier, fresher and of course cooked better. The service is outstanding. C'mon guys, go here and get yourself a good meal.

The food is authentic and definitely meets the expectations, best beverages honestly. The only warning to you all is the wait time. We waited for 2 hours. Knowing this, please order ahead, because, apparently, this is usual here - the cook has no help. This place is definitely not walk in and dine in. The

I've been here several times, and so far it's been great every time. The food is consistently good — flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The portions are a bit on the smaller side, but that doesn’t bother me since flavor, texture, and presentation are what I really care about, and they always deliver on those fronts. I do wish they stayed open a bit later, but since they focus on breakfast, the hours make sense. Hats off to the chef — you're doing a fantastic job. Keep it up!

Food was bomb! And service was good as well. Gotta love dealing with people who can make you laugh. I recommend the jerk chicken and oxtail combo plate

Never had Jamaican food before. Came based on the commercial and the reviews. Tried the beef patty, jerk chicken patty and a combo plate with ox tail and jerk chicken. Comes with rice, cabbage and plantains. Awesome flavors! I guess it has a little kick but I certainly wouldn’t call it spicy. Chicken was moist and ox tail had no toughness and plenty of meat. I could even eat the cabbage by itself! Also the interior decor is so fun and bright. I would recommend that everyone try this place out. Next time I will try the curry goat and a rum cake (:
